What Causes Delay In Period When Taking Pill?

I've been using laxatives for over 3 weeks now almost everyday. I have yet to get my period even if I am on the pill and therefor should be regular. In the mean time I did have sex with my boyfriend and now I am getting worried. But I have to consider the incredible amount of stress I've been under with familial issues
