What Causes Delay In Period?

Hi I have irregular periods my last periods on October10 2016 my gynecologist advised me to take scan on day 17 and told that egg reptured n fluid++ .I had sex from my day13 regularly up to day 23 my doctor prescribed me to take duphaston from 21 st day of my cycle .I have no periods until today and no symptoms that I m pregnant why my periods are delay even though I m ovulated on day17? Please give me a suggestion madam
