What Causes Delay In Periods After Taking Nordette?

Hi. My menstruation was due on july 20 but now I m two days delayed. Here s the catch, I had unprotected sex on July 10 but followed up on Nordette as ecp the next day. I took 4 at a time like most of the women do then after 12 hrs another 4. The thing is I panicked and thought I should continue to drink the ecp so after 12hrs again I drank another 4. It doesn t stop there after 2-3 days I drank the other contents within 12hrs interval. Am I gonna get pregnant still? Why am I still delayed?

Hi,

Taking a lot of hormones will alter the menstrual cycle and with a lot of different hormones being taken, the effect isn't predictable. It could cause a period or delay it. Pregnancy tests about a week after the expected time are usually quite reliable.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
