What Causes Delay In Periods And Abdominal Cramps Inspite Of Taking Primolut?
Hi my name is kt am 35years old I have irregular period since I had me 1st child in 2012 . I was on primolut n for 21 days startin from d 1st day of my period 2 tablet a day saw my period 3 days after completing the dose . But am now over 40days late. Negative pregnacy test but having cramps.
After taking primolut, periods usually occurs 3 to 5 days after stopping the drug. Delay for more than a week may also occur. Hormonal pills should always be taken at the same time everyday and should also not be missed. Such changes can also cause delayed bleeding.
Any history of anemia or hypothyroidism, intense dieting, workout and stress can also cause delayed periods.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
