What Causes Delay In Periods Despite Having Negative UPT?

My period is usually regular and at 44 im making the last efforts to concieve naturally. Both my husband and I spent 18 months with 2 different fertility speciLists after sufferening 2 miscarraiges to be told its just unexplained infertility as everything is in order and really good for my age. We decided to stop treatment in December and go back to nature. I am now 4 days late and I tested yesterday afternoon and got a negative. So could I be pregnant or is this now perimenopause ?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that you are pregnant and the test was done too early.

Pregnancy tests can normally detect the HCG hormone by day 11 to 14 after conception.

You may want to repeat the test at a later date.

I hope this helps
