General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Shruti, I really appreciate your concern. If you are taking emergency contraceptive pills or oral contraceptive pills regularly then there would be hormonal imbalance in your body which may be the cause of your delayed periods. Urine pregnancy test (UPT) kit showed that you are not pregnant then I advise you not to take pills for now and use barrier contraception methods like condoms. It will take some time to recover normal sex hormone levels and to start normal periods. Avoid stress because it can cause delay in periods.
Hope my answer has solved your query. Take Care.
Thank you.
