What Causes Delay In Periods Despite Having Negative UPT?

I am five days late for my period, and I already took a couple pregnancy tests, and they both came back negative. I went off the pill a couple months ago, then I had my period about two weeks later. My cycles are usually 26-30 days tops. And now I m on the 35th day of this cycle. I don t even know what s going on.

Hello dear
I understand your concern
Most common cause of the delayed period is pregnancy if you have sex in the fertile phase of the cycle.
Your UPT is negative as you did test very early.
It will give positive result 8-10 days after the missed period.
So I advise you to gor for pregnancy test again when your period will delay by the 8-10 days.
You can also go for blood HCG test as it is very accurate test.
If pregnancy will not there then other cause of the delayed period like stress, hormonal imbalance, ovarian cyst, thyroid dysfunction should be rule out by consulting the gynecologist.
Take healthy diet, do regular exercise and avoid stress.
Hope this may help you
