What Causes Delay In Periods Despite Taking Postinor2 After Having Sex?

I had my period on 10th of sep and I had sex on the 24th of that same month. But after the sex I took postinor 2 but I took the two tablet at once. We r in the month of oct and am yet to see my period. Wants to know if is been delayed by the drug I took

thank you for asking your concern and welcome to hcm. there are almost neglegible chances of getting pregnant after taking emergency contraceptive pill. there are certain chances of getting period delayed which may raise nervousness of getting pregnant. i suggest you to do urine pregnancy test to make it confirm of pregnancy. if it comes negative you can wait till next expected date of periods. most of the time it comes midway of the new month and again on regular date. i think there is no need to worry if UPT is negative regarding delayed periods. if you did not get period say for two expected dates then you can do ultrasonography to clear the doubt.
