What Causes Delay In Periods Despite Taking Contraceptive Pills?

Well when I was 15 I got a birth control shot and now I am 18 the shot was only supposed to last 3 months and I was told that I would have irregular periods for a couple months but my periods are still off and I don t understand what is really happening... I ve been trying to get pregnant for awhile now but I m scares that maybe when I got the shot it made it to were I won t be able to have kids ..... Should I go get it checked or am I worried over nothing?

Hi,

You can consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.

Your irregular periods are not related to the contraceptive shot you had taken in the past.

You have to start on pills to induce bleeding.
