What Causes Delay In Periods Despite Taking Contraceptives?
Hi, I recently took the morning after pill about two weeks ago after sex with my boyfriend. Im on the contraceptive pill but had messed it up so knew it wasn t reliable. We used a condom but after sex were worried there might have been a problem so took morning after to be safe. Im due back on my pill on Wednesday and still haven t gotten my period. Should I be worried?
Contraceptives pills intake may cause deleted periods. Other possibilities like infection or PID or dub etc. Pregnancy has to be ruled out. Please get an ultrasound abdomen and hemoglobin status.
Check whether you're taking empty pills while the end of the strip. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
