What Causes Delay In Periods Inspite Of Taking Nordette?
LATE PERIOD, WHITE DISCHARGE, NAUSEA, AND SENSITIVE BREASTS My girlfriend and I had unprotected sex last May 16 and I cummed inside her. Her last period was May 4 and she was expecting to get the next last May 31st but it didn t come. She took Nordette immediately after two hours of our sex. It s June 7 already and she haven t had her period yet plus she took a pregnancy test and it went positive. Is she really pregnant? Thank you.

Hi,
Nordette is a routine two hormone contraceptive. If taken immediately after sex in high doses twice. It can be used as an emergency contraceptive.
- It may not be effective if not taken at prescribed time in prescribed dose
- It may not be effective if frequently used for emergency contraception.
You had sex at possible ovulation time too and pregnancy test is positive. In such case you should consult a gynecologist for confirmation / exclusion of pregnancy (blood HCG test). Get MTP done if pregnancy is confirmed, as the Nordette is hazardous for causing abnormalities in the fetus.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
