Hi,

Sevista (active ingredient: Ormeloxifene) is a medication used in the treatment of irregular periods and heavy menstrual bleeding. It works by inhibiting the effects of estrogen on the lining of the uterus, which can help regulate menstrual cycles and reduce bleeding.

One of the common side effects of Sevista is a change in menstrual bleeding pattern, which may include delayed periods or shorter periods. However, if you have missed a period and the pregnancy test is negative, it is essential to rule out other causes of delayed periods.

There are many potential causes of delayed periods, including stress, changes in weight, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), thyroid disorders, and other medical conditions. It is also possible that the delay is unrelated to Sevista.

I would recommend that you consult your gynecologist to determine the underlying cause of your delayed period. They may suggest further testing or adjusting your medication dosage or treatment plan to address the issue. It is also important to keep in mind that Sevista is not a contraceptive, and you should use other forms of birth control if you are sexually active.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

Sevista is a medication that contains the active ingredient Raloxifene, which is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). It is primarily used to treat osteoporosis and reduce the risk of breast cancer in postmenopausal women.

While Sevista is not commonly associated with causing delays in periods, it is possible that it could affect menstrual cycles in some women. It is important to note that a delay in periods could also be due to other factors such as stress, changes in weight or diet, thyroid issues, or other underlying health conditions.

Since you have already taken a pregnancy test that came back negative, it is recommended to follow up with your gynecologist to determine the cause of the delayed period. Your doctor may suggest additional tests or adjust your medication if necessary.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
