What Causes Delay In Periods With A Negative Pregnancy Test?

Hi doctor, im 43, usually have a very regular periods every 28 days, this time my periods delayed for 2 months now, 3 times i did urine pregnancy test 1 week interwal since it got late, recent one done 4 days back all negative, blood test also negative, i have no breast changes, or abdomen tenderness, but i feel watery clear discharge per Vag. ultrasound apelvis showed uterous empty, what shall i take to get back my periods, i did blood for progesteron, LH, FSH all within normal-its done with absence os periods, FSH is 16 but still within normal range, not in menapausal range, can u pls advise me, how long to wait, or to take any treatment, my ht-150cm, wt,61 kgs, never had missed periods except pregnancies

Hi, I have gone through your problem. Your symptoms are suggestive of anovulatory changes which are common when woman is nearing her menopause. There will be no changes in ultrasound or blood hormonal tests in this case. There are changes in the lining of uterus.
You can wait for maximum three months after the last periods. If you don't get periods after that and your urine pregnancy test is still negative, then you can have periods with progesterone pills (medroxyprogesterone acetate).
