What Causes Delay In Periods With Light Spotting And Nausea And Cramps?

For the past 3 days I ve been queasy/nauseous, stomach cramps both below my rib cage and just above my public bone. I also feel very weak and have been more fatigued, sleeping late in the morning and needing to rest throughout the day. I have an IUD, my last menstrual period was June 20th but only lasted half a day...if that, more like spotting I suppose. The symptoms I m having are never symptoms I have when starting or during my period. I ve had my IUD since January of this year.

Hi,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. In the current scenario, I would suggest a pregnancy test. You can get a home pregnancy test if you are overdue by at least 3 days or go for the estimation of serum beta-hCG titres if you are a few days before the expected period. This should be followed by a trans-vaginal sonogram to help clarify the situation. Your symptoms can happen due to a very early pregnancy, an infection of the gastrointestinal tract or an impending period. Hope this helps.
