What Causes Delay In Periods?

its being 12days i havent got my periods yet, last month also after 12-14 daysi got my periods, between dat 12-14 days i did a test which was negative and its being 2 months i didnt have sex with my boyfriend, do i need do a pregrancy test, is it possible that i can get pregrant? please help, i am sacred
