What Causes Delay In Periods?

I'm 26 years old. Been missing my period for 8 days now. Usually my period starts on every 10-12 of every month. Been having it regularly for my whole life, except once when I was in my teenage year. I do feel slight uncomfortable on 1 side of my abdomen. Been actively having oral with my partner. What could likely be the cause?
