What Causes Delay In Periods?

I have the contraceptive implant it is due out in October I have recently been very Ill and am now takin Beta blockers and codine and some other bits and bobs I'm worried as I havnt ha a period in over 2 months and am ill in a morning, with the pills I've been taking could it effect my implant?
