What Causes Delay In Periods?

Hi, I am taking the mini pill Norgeston and had sex as my last period finished. I take it religiously, same time every day and have not missed however am over two weeks late for my next period and am so so worried. I am 40 and really do not want to be pregnant. Could I possibly be pregnant.
