What Causes Delay In Periods,orange Spotting And Cramps?

I was 2 days late. I'm never late just early. 28 day cycle. For a little over a week I have had off and on again mild cramps. I usually only cramp the day before my period and its unbearable . When I just went to the bathroom and wiped it was a bright red orange bit light.. What's wrong with me
