What Causes Delay In The Periods After Birth Of A Child?

I am 24 and have a 10 month old daughter. It was my first pregnancy. I have never really had a regular menstrual cycle, and understand it takes a while for your body to get back to normal after having a child. I have not had a cycle in almost 3 months now and it s beginning to worry me. I have taken quite a few pregnancy test and they are all a solid negative.

Hello...
thanks for choosing healthcare magic for your query...

You rightly said it takes time to get body adjusted for pregnancy and post pregnancy changes.

When you are feeding your baby , your hormonal levels, prolactin levels are high. So you get irregular periods.

But irregular periods does not give you protection for not getting pregnant.

Having irregular periods after delivery is normal but just make sure you are not pregnant. And you checked it quiet a few times. So relax.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask if any query.
