What Causes Delayed Menstrual Cycle?

Hello, I am three weeks late for my period. I am on the contraceptive pill, loestrin, and I have not missed any pills. The period did not come, though I am bloated, experiencing diarrhea, and my skin is breaking out like I rubbed pizza grease on it and then didn t wash it for a week. I have taken two pregnancy tests and both have come back negative. Please help.

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.

There are so many causes for delayed period.
Most common causes of delayed period are hormonal imbalance.
In your case it can be due to hormonal imbalance due to pills.
You should not worry!
As such if you are taking pill in appropriate dosage and timing chances of pregnancy are very rare.
Menstrual irregularities are very common with pills.
Stress, exercise and weight changes are also common reason.
So please do not take stress.
