What Causes Delayed Menstrual Period While On Birth Control Pills?

I just got back on birth control pill going on 3 weeks. I started taking it a week after my period. I spotted one time last week, which suppose to be the time I start my period but no period. My breast are very sensitive and I ve been cramping going on two week. Do you think that the pill delayed my period?
