What Causes Delayed Menstruation And Breast Soreness Post Tubal Ligation?

Hi, I had a tubal ligation 10 months ago, had my first period last month, now two days late getting my period again, my breasts are sore, and the pregnancy test I just took is negative. Should I be as scared as I am that I might be pregnant again and the tubal ligation didn t work? Thank you. Kristal

Hello,

Tubal ligation will not affect your hormone status. The studies have not consistently shown a change in a woman’s period. It can be caused by other factors.
