General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Whenever there is a delay in periods in a sexually active female, pregnancy is the first thing to be considered. She needs to have a urinary pregnancy test to make sure she is pregnant or not.

I don't think the delay in the periods is related to her having chickenpox.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Zotaj Antoneta, General & Family Physician
