What Causes Delayed Period After Having A Miscarriage?

Hi doc I had a miscarriage of 6weeks first of july I they did me a womb scrab 2weeks back it was on the 16th of july and till nw still waiting for my periods and 2day I had an unprotected sex so it possible that I maybe pregnant nd what can I do to prevent that?
