What Causes Delayed Period After Having Unprotected Sex While HPT Is Negative?

Hi, my husband and I are trying to conceive and I was due for my period Monday but it hasn t come yet, 3 pregnancy tests showing negative results. My last period was August 31-4th could I be pregnant or not. This is my first month trying after being on the pill fo more than 10 years

thank you for asking your concern madam and welcome to HCM. sometimes ovulation may not occur immediatly after stopping pills with long history of intake. very few times UPT may be negative till 2 months from last period. third is anxiety and nurvousness can prolong periods. in any case i would suggest you to wait till next expected date of periods and do again UPT if it comes negative then you have to confirm the abscence of fetus by doing ultrasonography. if fetus is present it will also help in finding accurate age of fetus and expexted date of delivery.
