Hello,
I have gone through the query and understood your concern. In the event on non-penetration and emergency contraception within the stipulated time interval after the sexual encounter, chances of conception are very less. The emergency pill contains high hormone content and this can disrupt the hormone milieu and cause delayed cycles. This is the most likely cause for the delayed period. Please take the help of a specialist if she becomes overdue by more than ten days. Regular contraception is always ideal than emergency contraception. Hope this helps.
