What Causes Delayed Period And Brown Vaginal Discharge While HPT Is Negative?

I started clomid last month. I am 43 years of age. I did blood work on day 21 which indicated that I did ovulate. My period was due June 5 but on June 2 I bled slightly for about an hour. I haven t gotten my period but have had very light brown discharge. What would cause this. Pregnancy test came back negative.

Hi,

Scanty bleeding around expected date of periods. can be implantation bleeding,if there is conception. Pregnancy can be confirmed by Beta HCG blood pregnancy test just before date of period or by home pregnancy test after 8 days delay in periods. You can consult your doctor about line of treatment she has planned for you. Take rest. No physical or psychological stress till you reach 8 days post menstrual date and get your home pregnancy test done. If you have normal periods, meet your doctor for further treatment.
