Hello, and I would be happy to answer your question today.
Pregnancy symptoms vary widely between women, and
nausea, mood changes, breast tenderness and
bloating can occur from hormone fluctuations that occur during an irregular period as well as pregnancy. Furthermore, the most common sign of pregnancy is a missed menstrual period.
So if your pregnancy test is negative, then you may just have had an abnormally early light period. Getting your period at the wrong time can happen to any woman and may be caused by
stress, weight changes, travel and even worrying about accidental pregnancy.
So at this point, I would just wait and see what happens and if you do not get a real period in the next few weeks and your pregnancy test remains negative, you may want to see your physician for a
hormonal evaluation.
I hope I was able to adequately answer your question today and that my advice was helpful.
Best wishes,
Dr. Brown
