What Causes Delayed Period And Negative HPT While On Naturogest?

Hi Doctor. I am 27 yrs female and had IUI procedure done on 19th May. My monthly cycle is of 28-29 days. I was supposed to get my periods on 4th June. but it has been delayed by 2 days but with negative HPT. after IUI i was put on Naturogest for 20 days. does the delayed periods side effect of Naturogest or should i test again after 1 week. Hi,

Naturogest was given to support possible conception after IUI (which is a chance) negative pregnancy test after 8 days delay in period would exclude conception and in such case Naturogest would hold periods back and so there is delay in pregnancy. In case of no conception, period would come after 8-10 days of withdrawing pills.

If conception has been successful but test is negative.(error in doing test). Period will not follow after stopping pills also. In such a case pregnancy is confirmed by other tests and Naturogest is continued. Please don't worry. Continue the pills as advised. Repeat test at prescribed time&consult your doctor.
