What Causes Delayed Period, Nausea And Headaches While HPT Is Negative?
Hello; I am 18 days late for my period. Two days ago, I took two home pregnancy tests, both were negative. I had my normal period, on time, last month - and have not had sexual intercourse with a male since. I am experiencing nausea and headaches (although I get headaches every day regardless.) I recently have been extremely stressed, and have flown within the last month for travel. I am not urinating more than usual, but I am very tired. Any suggestions or thoughts as to why my period may be late, but I have two negative tests?
Without sexual intercourse there is no chance of getting pregnant. You have not mentioned how much you are late for your menstruation. Delay of 7-10days may be normal physiological. Again stress itself also play a role in delaying period. Nausea, mild headache, tiredness may happen prior menstruation as premenstrual syndromes. Its adviced to take norethisterone 5mg three times daily for 7days. Menstruation will generally take place within 2-3 days of stopping the drugs. Repeat same treatment for 7days prior expected date of menstruation for next 2-3 cycles are also recommended to get a sustained benefit. In refractory case you may visit a gynecologist to rule out pcos or uterine synechae.
