Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 19 year old daughter was prescribed Provera for 10 days to start her period (has missed period for last 6 months). May have misunderstood doctor....but thought she was suppose to have her period immediately after the 10 days (which would have been yesterday) but she didn t get it yet. Will call our doctor tomorrow, but trying to relieve some stress off of my daughter tonight. Can it take a few days?
** 1. although one can expect withdrawal bleeding withi 72 hours but in many instances Provera withdrawal bleed can take upto 1 week after the last pill.
2. I will suggest you to wait till 10 days after last pill, and if flow does not occur consult your gynecologist, and also exclude other possibilities like: . low thyroid with PCOS . pituitary problems, . any physical/emotional stress
