What Causes Delayed Period While On Provera?

My 19 year old daughter was prescribed Provera for 10 days to start her period (has missed period for last 6 months). May have misunderstood doctor....but thought she was suppose to have her period immediately after the 10 days (which would have been yesterday) but she didn t get it yet. Will call our doctor tomorrow, but trying to relieve some stress off of my daughter tonight. Can it take a few days?

1. although one can expect withdrawal bleeding withi 72 hours but in many instances Provera withdrawal bleed can take upto 1 week after the last pill.

2. I will suggest you to wait till 10 days after last pill, and if flow does not occur consult your gynecologist, and also exclude other possibilities like:
. low thyroid with PCOS
. pituitary problems,
. any physical/emotional stress
