What Causes Delayed Period With Slimy Vaginal Discharge?

Hello I'm 28 years old 2 weeks after my period i had brown spotting not a whole lot enough to where a panty liner but did not fill. I am currently about 8 days late with my period and yesterday I wiped a big clear slimy glob out when I wiped. What is this?
