What Causes Delayed Periods After Receiving A Steroid Shot?

Hi I am 10 days late and negative pregnancy test . My period was supposed to come on 10/02. I have cramps and acne on my face which would make me think is coming but I did get a steroid shot on sep.29 . Always use condom when sex and make sure it does not rip . Is it the steroid making my period late or might be pregnancy

Hello,

Steroid injection normally doesn't affect the test results or the period to be on delay. I think you should do a pregnancy test soon. If it comes out negative you may be suffering from hormone disbalance.

Also, you can do an ultrasound to see ovary conditions because polycystic ovary may be possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
