Hi! I have regular monthly periods usually 28 day cycle. My last monthly period was last January 12. We had sex last Feb 6 which is already within 7 days before my expected next period on February 8. But up to today Feb 13, I don't have yet my period. Is there something to worry about? Thanks.
Considering that you had regular 28 days cycle, the fertile period must range upto day 18. You had sex after that. So chances of pregnancy are low. The only possibility is a delayed ovulation and conception where pregnancy occurs later than the expected date. I suggest you get a urine pregnancy test with a first morning urine sample after 7-10 days from the expected day of your period to rule out pregnancy.
If it is negative, visit your doctor to look for other causes like hormonal imbalance in thyroid or prolactin. Most of the time this may happen due to subtle hormonal abnormalities that may get corrected after a few cycles.
Stress also delays periods. So relax for a few days.
