What Causes Delayed Periods After Stopping Birth Control Pill?
I am a healthy 23 year old, and I started taking birth control when I was 16. When I was 21, I started taking the actual pills, (not the placebo ones that allow your body to have a period) all the time. Therefore, I would not allow myself to have a period. My doctor informed me that this would not affect my fertility. I have went without a period for over 2 years and in August I stopped taking birth control entirely. I had a very light period, but now I am late and not having a period. I have taken two pregnancy tests that were negative. Should I be concerned? Will not letting myself have a period for so long really affect my fertility?
