What Causes Delayed Periods After Taking I-pill?
Hi doctor.in may i took ipill as an emergency .after5 days of taking i pill i had small small spoting of blood. After three days its stopped. Now scince one month gone my periods is not coming .my brother is a doctor he suggest me to take deviry 10mg for 5days..and after finish my medicine cource told me to wait for 5days.but till now its not yet come.what to do.

Understand your concern
Delayed period after I pill is common problem as it cause prolongation of second phase of cycle as it contain high progesterone. Spotting is due to progesterone withdrawal as high progesterone present in I pill.
It may be delayed by 7-10 days. So first step is confirm the pregnancy by Urine pregnancy test and or Blood HCG if period will delay by 10-12 days.
If pregnancy is not there then you have to use deviry to induce abortion. But first you have to wait for period to come and confirmation of pregnancy before using Deviry.
Now you had already taken deviry, period will come in 6-8 days after using pill if your not pregnant.
So for safer side go for overnight morning urine pregnancy test to confirm the pregnancy. If you will not be pregnant then period will come maximum after 7-8 days.
