What Causes Delayed Periods After Taking Primolut N?

My periods were on 29th sept. I had intercourse on that day after 1.5 year. I bled also. Then I took primolut n for 3 days from 3 to 5 oct to delay periods then I had a little blood on 7th or 8th oct and got fever too. I took antibiotics and my periods got stopped. Still having no periods. Today is 29th oct. Am facing side effects of primolut n I.e. hairfall and pimples. Am very worried. Please help. I have done pregnancy test. Its negative

Hello,
I can understand your concern. Primolut N contains norethisterone which is used for contraception and also to delay periods. Nor ethisterone is not used for emergency contraception. Based on your history, there is a chance that you can get pregnant. Since you were on and off on primolut, the periods can be delayed or irregular. Since it been only 30 days, you might get your periods in a few days. If you donot get periods, get a repeat urine pregnancy test. Urine pregnancy test takes time to become positive, if still you suspect pregancy, i would advise a blood test for hcg. Donot worry about the side effects of hair fall and pimples, they should go on their own.
