What Causes Delayed Periods After Taking Utovlan?

I took utovlan for 3 days to stop my period didnt finish the course as didn t need to. I came on 2 days after for 4 days now I am 4 days late took a pg test but negative we hoping to be pregnant can u help me could I be pregnant of is this side effects of tablet

Hi,

Utovlan contains norethisterone which is similar to one of the female hormones called progesterone and its use may affect the periods.

On the other hand, a negative pregnancy test does not necessarily mean you are not pregnant.

I would recommend you to repeat the test in 2-3 days again and if not positive then very likely you are not pregnant and the delay may be due to the tablet or sometimes no clear reason is found for the menstrual delay.

If you would like to get pregnant I would recommend you to talk to your doctor and not just take these hormones as very likely they will not help with pregnancy.

Your doctor needs to do examinations to determine the possible cause of not conceiving and should direct the treatment according to the findings.
