What Causes Delayed Periods After Taking An I-Pill?

I had unprotected sex yesterday and took an ipill 12 hours later. But today morning, I had unprotected sex again and the ejaculation was internal. What should I do? I am on birth control ( pill is called femilon) but I missed the first two days of the first week which is this week.

Hello,

Based on your description, it seems that you have done a right thing by taking I-pill by 12 hours after the first episode of unprotected intercourse. Since you are on birth control pill and missed first 2 days, it is good that you have taken emergency contraceptive pill as during such circumstances, it would be at risk.

If you had intercourse second time within 24 hours of intake of I-pill, then there is no need to take another dose. You need to get withdrawal bleeding within 3 weeks from the intake of the emergency contraceptive pill. Kindly use other modes of contraception like condoms and spermicidal agents until you get your periods. If you don't get your periods by 3 weeks, kindly seek medical attention promptly.
