This month i didnt got my periods but my body is aching the same way when I get period for eg: warming of the body, lower and back pain. Kindly let me know what should I do? Thanks,

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, long term intake of oral contraceptive pills cause hormone adaptations to suppress the natural homeostatic pathway. As one stops to take the OC pills, it takes around 2-3 cycle period to get reversal of normal menstrual pattern as previous ones. The current pain and abdomen discomfort is due to lack of menses and the same would be settled down over next period cycle time.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
