What Causes Delayed Periods Along With Brown Vaginal Discharge?
My last menstrual was started 18th June and usually very punctual at 29 days cycle. When I missed my period for 4 days on 22 July, I bought a pregnancy test and was given a result of positive. Today (28 July), I had a dark brown dÃscharge (like old blood, usually that s how my early period looks like), and after few hours, I have light bleeding. Very much like period but not heavy. I worry is a miscarriage, so I bought another pregnancy test and gave me positive result too. Any idea what s happening. Please advise.

Well, the cause of the yellowish or brown vaginal discharge is a common and usually harmless issue. Occasional spotting between periods might have this appearance and can be normal, especially if you're taking low-dose birth control pills. So in most cases, this is not a sign of disease. If it is, then usually this indicates bacterial vaginosis, STD or polycystic ovarian syndrome. Less common, some other hormonal disorders may be present. In some cases, however, a yellow or brown vaginal discharge could indicate a serious problem. Although brown and yellow vaginal discharge often does not indicate a serious problem, it should not be ignored if it persists, recurs or is accompanied by other symptoms and then you should see gynecologist for further workup.
