What Causes Delayed Periods Along With Nausea And Diarrhoea?
Hello, I normally get my period like clockwork, within the same day or 2 every month, and my PMS is always the same - back aches and sore breasts. I had sex without a condom this past month but am in the birth control pill. However, my period is 4 days late, I ve had diarrhea and have been nauseaus all day today, to the point where I ve spent the day on the couch in between naps and have thrown up. I ve also been experiencing very severe stomach cramps all day, which I don t recall ever experiencing in any past monthly cycles.
Your symptoms suggest mostly of gastrointestinal upset. Diarrhea and nausea with abdominal cramps may be due to food poisoning. Take Tab. Vomikind once daily for 2 days; Tab. Loperamide twice daily for 2 days. Sporolac sachet to be dissolved in 1 glass of water and consumed for 7 days.
Avoid spicy and oily and junk food. Take more water. If still your symptoms persist even after 2 days, then you may go to consult a physician for clinical evaluation in person.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
