What Causes Delayed Periods Along With Severe Abdominal Cramping?

My period was supposed to be on march 5, it is march 14, I still have not got it. I had unprotected sex on feb 28, but he pulled out before he came. I got a urine test on march 7 and the doctor said I was not pregnant and prescribed me birth control pills and he told me to start after my period. I am cramping a lot today, but no period.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have delayed periods along with severe abdominal cramping . Well I have gone through your query . Delayed periods, abdominal cramps and increased appetite might be suggestive of pregnancy. so you might be pregnant. You should do a urine pregnancy test (UPT) to confirm this. This test can be done at home by pregnancy kits available in market. You should always do by using first urine sample of the morning. I would suggest you to consult gynecologist for proper examination . The abdominal cramp can also occur due to gastric problem like IBS , gastritis or food allergy . Consult gastroenterologist for gastric problem .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
