What Causes Delayed Periods Along With Soreness In The Nipples And Breast?

My doctor s did a blood pregnancy test in October or maybe November. It was negative. Haven t had a period since September. Could the test have been a false? My nipples are sore and boobs bigger. My belly looks like it keeps getting bigger. But just barely.
