What Causes Delayed Periods Along With Vaginal Spotting And Fatigue?

Hello my name is nicole I m 27, and about 5 weeks late. I took a pregnancy test but it came back negative but I know with my other prgnancies, 1 live birth, 3 misscarriages, and 1 abortion that I didn t show up till 6 weeks. I have been experiencing a lot of pregnancy symptoms and even have the linea Negra on my tummy but yesterday I had a light spotting after urinating. Today I started a heavier spotting after I pee but no blood inbetween minus maybe 2 spots during my 2 hour nap, cause I ve been exhausted today. I have had some slight cramping but not like my period and I m still really nauseous. Last year when I had my abortion before I got it I had started bleeding really bad and went in and they said my placenta or the sac was tearing away from my uterus but the baby was fine and they even said I had fibroids. I mysteriously don t have fibroids anymore yet I m not sure what s going on.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since you are experiencing symptoms of pregnancy, you are suggested to get a blood test for pregnancy done. Sometimes HCG takes a longer time to show up in the urine.

It will be better if you visit a gynae & get clinically assessed. Get Blood, urine, CBC & USG OF Uterus done to confirm pregnancy.

If you are pregnant you will be treated accordingly. If you are not, the pathology causing menstrual delays will be detected & treatment is done.

In the meantime, avoid addictions if any, take adequate rest. Stay away from stress, take nutritious food.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
