What Causes Delayed Periods Along With Vaginal Spotting And Stomach Cramps?

Hello my name is Summer. I missed my period 7 days ago. I took a HPT on the first missed day and the results were negative. I have been experiencing pregnancy symptoms for about two weeks now, before my missed period. I stopped taking the birth control pill about a month and a half ago. I started a light pink spotting about two hours ago. I went to the restroom and the toilet paper had a deep red blood on it and a few drops in the toilet but on the pad it was still only a few light pink drops of blood. I have been experiencing painful to mild cramps since the spotting started. Do you think I am pregnant with implantation bleeding, having a miscarriage, or is this just a cyst forming from me stopping the birth control pill?

Hi,

It is possible that it may be a delayed cycle or miscarriage.

Implantation bleed appears as a smear of blood on your underwear or toilet paper a few days before or after the time when you can first test positive on a pregnancy test.

Implantation bleeding typically occurs within one to two weeks after fertilization.

Bleeding associated with an impending miscarriage may begin as spotting and then turn into a heavier flow with visible clots and a dark red colour, similar to a heavy menstrual period.

Cramping and passing tissue through the vagina are other signs of a miscarriage. So again get it done urine pregnancy test or serum pregnancy test. Get an ultrasound abdomen.

Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
