What Causes Delayed Periods And Spotting?

Hi, just wondering I don't get my periods regularly and was on a hormone pill for a few days this time last month which gave me my period. I'm expecting it any day but when I wiped yesterday it was a browny colored discharge only when I wiped and today it is red but only when I wipe not when I pee. Is it possible I could be prego? Thanks
