What Causes Delayed Periods Despite Taking Progesterone Injections?

Hello sir I am a 31 year old woman my period last month was on 20 and it was supposed to be between 18-20 this month. But it doesn t happen. I give pregnancy test and it was 111 which request me to repeat it 3days later but since I don t want to have a baby I decide to miscarriage I went to doctor to do it at first two weeks of it and doctor gave me two progesterone injection each night one and told after 3-4 days your period will be start but now after 4 days it is not happening. I am too worried please help me because I heard some doctors believe progesterone cause stong pregnancy please help me what I did was correct if not what should I do? Thanks alot

Understand your concern
I think there is some miscommunication between you and doctor regarding the induced abortion.
Progeterone injection can use in induced period in hormonal imbalance case but not in the pregnancy. It will used to prevent the miscarriage and mainatain the growth of baby.
For termination of pregnancy you have two option
1. Surgical process like suction evacuation
2. Medical treatment by using mifepristone and misoprostol.
USG should be done prior to abortion to confirm intrauterine pregnancy of less than 9 week. It should be used under the advice and supervision of gynecologist.
So consult the gynecologist and you can go for any option to terminate the pregnancy. I advice you tog go for surgery as you took progesterone injection. And it is confirmatory process and less chance of bleeding.
