What Causes Delayed Periods Post Intake Of I-pill?

I missed my period one week ago. I Had a hcg urin test but it shows negative. Then i had a beta hcg blood test and it shows 0.100 mIU/ml. I am confused what might be the problem am i pregnant or there is some problem with my period. Also i had taked i-pill 2 weeks ago. I am going through a lot of stress. Please help me out.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
First of all you are not pregnant. Urine pregnancy test is negative & Beta hcg levels of 0.1 mIU/ml is also taken as negative.
Delayed period nor missed period after intake of ipill is a common problem. It is known side effect due to high dose of hormone levogesterol contained in the pill. So your period can be delayed for 1 or more cycles.
Use condoms or regular contraceptive pills to prevent pregnancy in future. Taking more emergency contraceptive pills can cause serious problems like irregular periods, ectopic pregnancy, ovarian hyper-stimulation syndrome & even infertility.


If your period doesn't occur even after 2 weeks, Consult a gynaecologist
